Foxmere Films is an independent film production company based in County Down, Northern Ireland, working across the UK. We create natural, story-led wedding films alongside selected documentary and factual projects, with an approach rooted in observation, strong storytelling and carefully crafted visuals.

I'm James Johnston
I’m a filmmaker and video producer based in County Down, Northern Ireland, with First-Class Honours and a Master’s with Distinction in Film from Queen’s University Belfast. My background spans cinematography, editing and documentary production, with early short films recognised at international film festivals.
I’m drawn to real people and real stories, and I prefer to work naturally and unobtrusively, creating films that feel personal, considered and true to the people at their centre.
